Web development, built by the person you talk to.
Marketing sites, online stores and web platforms, designed and coded by one developer, launched on hosting you own.
Start a projectWhat I build
Takyonics is a web development studio based in Dubai in the plainest sense: a developer who designs and builds websites and web applications, for businesses in the UAE and remotely for clients anywhere. The work falls into four kinds.
- Marketing websites. A company site that loads fast, reads well on a phone, ranks for what you do, and can be edited by your own team afterwards. Takyonics.com, the site you are reading, is one.
- E-commerce. Online stores with product catalogues, payments, order management and the admin tools to run them day to day.
- Web platforms and portals. Systems with accounts, roles, dashboards, payments and data: booking systems, ordering platforms, customer portals, internal tools, small ERP systems.
- Redesigns and rebuilds. Taking a site that has grown stale or slow and rebuilding it properly, keeping what works and the search rankings it already has.
Technology
I keep the stack small and well understood, which is what makes a one-developer studio reliable.
- BackendLaravel, the PHP framework, for anything with accounts, data, payments or an admin area. Mature, well documented, and easy for any future developer to take over.
- Front endHTML, CSS and JavaScript, written by hand for speed and accessibility. React where an interface genuinely needs it.
- HostingDigitalOcean servers managed through Laravel Forge, in your own account, with automatic deployments from your own code repository.
- Search and performanceEvery site ships with proper titles and descriptions, structured data, a sitemap, self-hosted fonts and compressed images, and is measured with Google Lighthouse before launch.
Timelines
Honest estimates for one developer working on one project. They start when the brief is agreed and the content is in hand.
- Marketing websiteAbout one month for a site of five to ten pages.
- E-commerce storeTwo to three months, depending on catalogue size, payment and shipping rules.
- Web platform or portalThree to six months. A full ERP-style system is at the six-month end.
How a project moves
-
Brief
One conversation, over a call or in writing, to fix the destination and what done means. You get a written scope with the pages or screens, the features, the timeline and the price. Nothing is built until that is agreed.
-
Build
Working software you can open every week, on a staging address, reviewed with you on the real thing rather than on a deck. Changes to scope are discussed when they come up, not discovered at the end.
-
Launch
I put it live on hosting and accounts in your name, watch it through the first weeks, and stay on for whatever it needs next, on a maintenance agreement or as one-off work.
Who you are working with
Takyonics is a one-developer studio. I do the design, the build, the deployment and the support myself, so you deal with the person who writes the code from the first call to the last fix. Takyonics is new as a company; the work behind it is years of freelance projects for clients in the UAE and elsewhere.
That shape has honest limits, and I would rather state them than find out mid-project:
- Remote only. Everything happens over calls, messages and shared staging sites. I do not take on-site engagements or travel to client offices.
- One project at a time, usually. Timelines below assume that. If I am mid-project, I will tell you the real start date before you commit.
- Not enterprise scale. Programmes that need a team of ten, a procurement process or a resident developer are not a fit. A small or mid-sized business, a startup, a founder with a product idea, or a department that needs a tool built: that is.
Ownership, pricing and aftercare
- Who owns the codeYou do. The repository, the hosting, the domain and every third-party account are created in your name. If we part ways, you keep everything and any developer can pick it up.
- How pricing worksQuoted per project, after the brief, as a fixed figure for an agreed scope. No hourly meter. If the scope grows, the price is revised in writing before the extra work starts.
- After launchMaintenance is available: updates, security patches, small changes and monitoring, either as a monthly agreement or as one-off work when something comes up.
- Where clients areMostly the UAE, and anywhere else that works remotely. Payment in AED or USD.
Recent work
Skoolkai, a school meal ordering platform. Parents register, add their children, top up a wallet with secure payments, and order from the daily menu for each child in a few taps, on any device. Accounts, payments, menus and daily orders in one system, built to be run by the people serving the meals.
Takyonics.com, this site: a scroll-driven page with video and layered scenes that still scores 97 and above on Google Lighthouse on a phone, built with no framework at all.
Questions
- How much does a website cost in Dubai?
- It depends on what it has to do, which is why I quote per project rather than publish a price list. After one conversation you get a written scope and a fixed figure for it. A small marketing site and an online store with hundreds of products are very different jobs, and the quote reflects that honestly.
- Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
- Yes. Content you need to change often, such as text, images, products or news, gets an admin area or a content system you can use without a developer. Design and structure changes come to me.
- Will the site rank on Google?
- It will be built to: correct titles, structured data, fast loading, a sitemap, and copy written around what people search for. Ranking also depends on content and links over time, which I will explain plainly rather than promise a position.
- Who owns the website?
- You do: the code, the domain, the hosting account and every service connected to it, all in your name from day one.
- Do you work with clients outside the UAE?
- Yes, remotely. Most of my clients are in Dubai and the UAE, but the way I work, over calls and a shared staging site, is the same anywhere.
- What happens if something breaks after launch?
- Maintenance is available monthly or as one-off work. During the first weeks after launch I watch the site anyway.
Tell me what the site needs to do and when it needs to exist. You get a written scope and a fixed price back.
