Takyonics Start a project

Mobile app development, from idea to the app stores.

iOS and Android apps built in React Native by one developer, with the backend, the AI features and the store submissions handled.

What I build

Takyonics builds mobile apps for iOS and Android from one codebase, from Dubai, for founders and businesses anywhere that remote work reaches. One developer handles the whole thing: the screens, the backend, the store listings and the first releases.

  • Consumer apps. Products for the public, from a first working version to a store listing with screenshots, privacy policy and review submission handled.
  • Business and internal apps. Tools for your staff or customers: ordering, bookings, field forms, dashboards, anything that is better in a pocket than in a browser tab.
  • Apps with a backend. Accounts, sync, payments, notifications and admin tools, built on Laravel or Supabase depending on what the app needs.
  • Apps with AI inside. Features built on OpenAI or Anthropic models, such as reading documents, parsing screenshots or answering questions, designed so private data stays private.

Technology

  • AppReact Native, so iOS and Android share one codebase and ship together. Native modules where a feature needs them, such as on-device text recognition.
  • BackendLaravel for systems with complex business logic and admin areas. Supabase for apps that mainly need accounts, sync and a database, which keeps costs low early on.
  • AIOpenAI and Anthropic models, called from a server you control so keys never ship inside the app.
  • StoresApple App Store and Google Play: listings, screenshots, data-safety forms, privacy policy and the submission itself.

Timelines

Estimates for one developer on one project, from an agreed brief.

  • First working versionTwo to three months for an app with a handful of screens, accounts and a backend, ready for testers.
  • Store-ready productFour to six months including polish, store assets, policies and the review process on both stores.
  • Adding a feature to an existing appTwo to six weeks, depending on the feature and the state of the code.

How a project moves

  1. Brief

One conversation, over a call or in writing, to fix the destination and what done means. You get a written scope with the pages or screens, the features, the timeline and the price. Nothing is built until that is agreed.

  2. Build

Working software you can open every week, on a staging address, reviewed with you on the real thing rather than on a deck. Changes to scope are discussed when they come up, not discovered at the end.

  3. Launch

I put it live on hosting and accounts in your name, watch it through the first weeks, and stay on for whatever it needs next, on a maintenance agreement or as one-off work.

Who you are working with

Takyonics is a one-developer studio. I do the design, the build, the deployment and the support myself, so you deal with the person who writes the code from the first call to the last fix. Takyonics is new as a company; the work behind it is years of freelance projects for clients in the UAE and elsewhere.

That shape has honest limits, and I would rather state them than find out mid-project:

  • Remote only. Everything happens over calls, messages and shared staging sites. I do not take on-site engagements or travel to client offices.
  • One project at a time, usually. Timelines below assume that. If I am mid-project, I will tell you the real start date before you commit.
  • Not enterprise scale. Programmes that need a team of ten, a procurement process or a resident developer are not a fit. A small or mid-sized business, a startup, a founder with a product idea, or a department that needs a tool built: that is.

Ownership, pricing and aftercare

  • Who owns the codeYou do. The repository, the hosting, the domain and every third-party account are created in your name. If we part ways, you keep everything and any developer can pick it up.
  • How pricing worksQuoted per project, after the brief, as a fixed figure for an agreed scope. No hourly meter. If the scope grows, the price is revised in writing before the extra work starts.
  • After launchMaintenance is available: updates, security patches, small changes and monitoring, either as a monthly agreement or as one-off work when something comes up.
  • Where clients areMostly the UAE, and anywhere else that works remotely. Payment in AED or USD.

Recent work

Bleed, a subscription and bill tracker for iOS and Android, built by Takyonics. It keeps a running total of what you pay for, reminds you before renewals, and lets you add a subscription by scanning a screenshot: text is read on the phone, checked for card and bank details before anything leaves the device, and only sent to an AI model when the on-device parser is unsure. An anonymous account backs everything up without asking who you are. React Native, Supabase, and OpenAI behind a server function. Its privacy policy is on this site.

Questions

How much does app development cost in the UAE?
I quote per project after a brief, as a fixed figure for an agreed scope. The biggest factors are the number of screens, whether it needs accounts and a backend, payments, and how much polish the first release needs. You will have a real number before anything is built.
iOS first, or both at once?
Both at once, from one React Native codebase. Building for one platform first rarely saves money and usually costs a second build later.
Do I need a backend?
If the app has accounts, data that must survive a phone change, or anything shared between users, yes. For simple tools everything can live on the device, and the quote is smaller.
Will you handle the App Store and Google Play submission?
Yes, including the listings, screenshots, data-safety forms and the privacy policy, which both stores check. Rejections get handled too; they are normal on a first submission.
Who owns the app?
You do: the code, the developer accounts and every connected service, in your name.
Can you add AI to an existing app?
Yes. Features built on OpenAI or Anthropic models can be added to an app I did not build, provided the code is in a reasonable state. The AI development page explains how I keep private data out of the model where it should stay out.

Describe the app in a few sentences and who it is for. You get a written scope and a fixed price back.
